HMP students enroll in one of three divisions of study. Young Artist, Young Musician, and Young Music Scholar students experience a balance of performance training and coursework designed to develop their major interests and to deepen their commitment.
Which Suits You?
HMP’s premiere, performance-oriented division is for students committed to achieving their potential as performers. Students attend four weekly classes. Young Artist Instrumental and Vocal students refine their performance skills through Performance Classes, Solo Performance Evaluation, and public performances in Solo Recitals and Chamber Concerts.
Motivated to deepen and broaden their study of music, YM instrumentalists attend three weekly classes. They develop their performance skills in Performance Classes and two Chamber Music Concerts per year.
YMS students expand their musical knowledge through the study of Music Theory and Music History. Students take two weekly classes and do not participate in HMP performances.
