Application Materials

The following two forms must be submitted along with a $60 application fee by May 31st 2019. Students applying for a double major should submit two separate Private Teacher Recommendation Letters from both of their private instructors.  Once all items are received, Westminster Conservatory will confirm the status of your application and your audition time slot.


Audition & Interview Schedules

Audition and Interview Time Slots for June 8th 2019 are scheduled on a rolling basis; perspective students should contact AnnaLotte Smith at smithanna@rider.edu regarding scheduling concerns by May 31st 2019. Finalized audition and interview schedules will be emailed to registered applicants on June 1st 2019. All students must complete a music theory placement exam directly following their audition and/or interview; the exam is untimed and should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Admission Decisions

Applicants are admitted to an Honors Music Program division based on the panel’s recommendation following the audition and interview. Applicants receive their admissions decision and theory placement results by email by June 15th 2019. If the student’s theory knowledge falls between Honors Music Program class levels, the family may choose to accelerate the student to a higher level through summer theory tutorials or to enroll the student in the lower level class in September.  Fees for any summer tutorials are not included in the Honors Music Program tuition.


Accepted Students Registration

Accepted students must submit a completed Westminster Conservatory Registration Form by July 1st 2019 to reserve their place in the Honors Music Program.

  • $40 Westminster Conservatory Family Registration Fee (not required for Conservatory students already enrolled in another offering for 2019-2020)
  • Honors Music Program Family Tuition Deposit
    • $500 for Young Artists or Young Musician Students (Non-Refundable)
    • $150 for Young Music Scholar Students

Tuition 

Financial Aid Forms must be submitted in hard copy at the time of registration to the Westminster Conservatory Princeton Office. Fees for private lessons, external music theory exams, and music scores are not included in tuition.  Scholarship opportunities are available.
