Announcing our first Chamber Music Festival

In this dark December, amid a pandemic, spending more time at home even as the holidays approach, we long to surround ourselves with music. Life is a mosaic of memories – we will create new memories, we’ll try to bring out the best in each other, we’ll have unforgettable experiences and good times with family and friends, all in this strange twelfth month of 2020. We want to celebrate the New Year as we leave 2020 behind. We hope to offer a reason for celebration in our Chamber Music Festival.

The Honors Music Program of Westminster Conservatory is sponsoring its first ever Chamber Music Festival. Due to current circumstances this Festival will be held virtually, videos to be submitted and adjudicated online. Anyone enrolled in the Conservatory is eligible to enter, and friends and family are encouraged to collaborate. If you prefer classical music, join us. You can also make your own arrangements, you can dress up, you can make different stage and sound effects, you can use your tech knowledge and create a video masterpiece. Music will bring us all together, it allows us to express our ideas and can help bridge differences. Let us all come together to make music.

Apply with video submissions by March 8, 2021. Winners will be notified by March 15, 2021. Grand Prize Winner will perform on the Music-Fest Chamber Music Concert on March 27, 2021.   There is no limit to the number of videos submitted by each ensemble. Each video may be considered in multiple adjudication categories. There are no age limits, and groups my comprise multiple generations.
