Experienced Young Artist jazz students enjoy performing in combos

Jazz at HMP

Young Artist students, who are accomplished classical players, have the additional opportunity to learn Jazz in HMP.  In our modern day, versatility is the key to every musician’s future.  Being a proficient improviser in various styles is an invaluable skill, which we cultivate in our students from day one.

Students begin their Jazz studies in lab-style classes and progress in combos which are composed of students with complementary experience.
